Privacy

You jokers knew what you were in for when you signed up the first time. The second time around is no different but during the update we are handling the GDPR. So:

Cookies & browser storage

DMduro uses no advertising or analytics trackers. Essential first-party cookies keep sign-in secure: dmduro_session lasts up to eight hours, and dmduro_email binds email verification to your browser for up to ten minutes. They are used when you request those login services.

dmduro_storage remembers your optional-storage choices and their expiry for 180 days. It contains no email, account identifier or advertising identifier. Acceptance and rejection last the same amount of time. Browser settings, private browsing or clearing site data can remove it sooner. Updated purposes require a new choice.

Optional menu memory uses session storage (dmduro.nav.*) until the browser tab/session ends. Optional PWA offline support stores public app files and branding in Cache Storage (dmduro-static-*), until you withdraw permission, your choice expires while using the online app, or you clear site data. It does not cache private API responses, rides, GPS recordings, photos or map tiles. Old public caches are removed when the app updates.

Use Cookie settings to accept, reject, choose separately or withdraw optional storage. Optional storage is off before a choice. Rejecting it does not prevent login or use of the website. Withdrawing removes DMduro's saved menu preferences and public offline cache when this page is online; it does not sign you out. Previously installed offline support is also removed when you next open the updated online app without permission.

Maps request tiles directly from Kartverket or OpenStreetMap when you view a map. These providers receive your IP address and the requested map area. DMduro does not use these requests for advertising or analytics. See Kartverket privacy information and OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy information.
